Toy Story: The psychological horror?

If you think about it, Toy Story is a messed up movie from Sid’s point of view. He’s just a normal, albeit destructive, pre-teen boy. I’m sure we’ve all seen the type, most likely causing chaos in the toy section of a store.

But what if Toy Story, a movie that paints Sid as the antagonist, was actually from his point of view? Suddenly, things feel a little different. The destruction of toys would be the status quo, not the toys being alive. The toys revealing themselves to Sid wouldn’t kick off Act 3, it would instead conclude Act 2; the rest of the film is now a psychological horror film about an 11-year old boy being hunted by living toys.
